Fidget Cube Устройство-антистресс
Answered 32w ago No, they are not worth buying. For starters, many people are wearing DWs, so there is no originality in wearing one anymore. DWs are super overpriced for what they are. A cheap quartz movement encased in a ridiculously thin case that is barely water proof and has a crown so small and fragile that makes setting time almost impossible.
Even the minimalist design, which people seem to really like,is a rip off from other classic watches see junghans max bill watch and patek philippe caltrava.

The minimalist design is poorly executed. Which brings me to what they do best, marketing. Daniel Wellington know how to do marketing in Their use of social media and sponsorship of various YouTube channels that tell you to buy their watches is reaching a very wide audience.
You would be an idiot if you pay the full price of a DW watch because you can always get a big discount.
This is a very sketchy business model.
I do blame the watch industry for not leveraging the power of social media as a medium for advertisement and reaching out to young people with quality watches.
If you want a minimalist watch then checkout Timex and Skagen. You can get a non pretensions minimalist watch from a true watch brand like Timex for around 50 bucks! Be original when choosing a watch.

There are so many great watches that you can get for your money and wear proudly.
Wooh that was long, thank you for reading! They use the most affordable stainless steel production process Their sturdy Miyota quartz movement only costs a fraction more than the standard version, because they use the slim version.
But you still need a battery change every 3 year, which can compromise the water-resistance if it is not done expertly.
They use mineral crystal, which is not impervious to scratches. Their water-resistance rating is really not high But yeah I get it: DW is trendy… If you must buy for the product, for the same money you can get a Citizen Stiletto in any case colour: What I may add is that for the same or even less amount of money you can have a better quality quartz movement from a watchmaker that has good history behind it like Casio or Timex, just to name a few.
The best way to make up your mind is to answer this question: Do I want a watch, a real watch?

Or some piece of jewelry that also tells time?
And the term jewelry is very loosely used here. You would be better off buying a sub USD watch and boy, you have a lot to choose from and invest the rest in some gold jewelry. Coming back to Seiko: Excellent mechanical watches for the money that come in a very wide range of designs to suit every taste!
For the ammount of money you pay for a DW you could by from the likes of Orient, Casio, Citizen and Seiko, two watches.
One to use as a dress watch, one to use as a beater watch for daily wear, sports, you name it!
